Dear Friends & Partners In
Ministry,
Just one week ago today, a
horrible hail storm came through Chiang Rai with destructive force, causing
extensive damage to homes, churches, and schools.
Two days after the storm, we
put together a video clip of some of the damage and called on God’s people to
pray and to give specifically to NTIM so that we could provide 300 boxes of
supplies to over 300 homes in one village about 7 kilometers from Baan Athitaan
Church where almost every roof of every home was destroyed and most everything
in the house was destroyed either by the hail or by the rain.
God moved in
the hearts of many of God’s people as they gave and prayed and within a few
days we received several thousand dollars to help with this project (but we are
still receiving donations for follow up or future disaster projects).
In consultation with families
from this village, we then made a list of items that we thought would help
these families in distress during the time of recovery and spent several hours
at Makro – similar to a Sam’s club in the USA – shopping and purchasing at
least 330 pieces of each item we wanted to put in the package of goods to give
to these families.
After two truckloads of
materials were purchased, a small group of young people and staff from Baan
Athitaan Church gathered and formed an “assembly line” and packed over 330 bags
of goods. The next day – two days ago – we took a small group of folks with us
and passed out over 330 bags of goods to every home in the village that was
severely damaged.
What a great joy it brought to
my heart to share with the whole village that Jesus loves them and cares for
them even when they experience great pain. It also brought great joy to see
hundreds of people from this village receive their package of goods with a big
smile on their face and a grateful heart knowing that Christians all over the
world were praying for them and had given financially to help meet this urgent
need.
THANK YOU.
THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your financial gifts for this
project. Thank you for sending us and your monthly financial supporting that
allows us to serve here and be available in critical and strategic times like
these.
And we want to say a special
thank you to our home church – Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Bham, Alabama
for being such a great model church. We are thankful that you support your
missionaries not only financially but also with training, and equipping, and
modeling. Much of what we learned at the Global Impact Conference (GIC) family
“packing project” on Saturday morning was put into practice as we prepared to
touch part of our world here in Northern Thailand.
It is amazing what God’s people
can do when we work together for His glory and the expansion of His kingdom.
May our Lord richly bless all
of us as we seek to make Jesus famous all over the world.
You do not
want to miss watching this short video clip that Karn put together of our time

Remember the words
of our Lord Jesus when He said, “Let your light shine before men in such a way
that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
