DAY 21 – Pray for New Believers In Thailand - Update December 20, 2013

Today is Day 21 of our 35 Day Spiritual Adventure of getting to know and then actively praying for Northern Thailand Impact Ministry (NTIM) and all of the various unreached people groups in and around Northern Thailand. Thank you for joining us for this great time of seeking the face of God on behalf of millions who have never heard the message of our Lord Jesus.

DAY 21 – Pray for New Believers In Thailand  - Update December 20, 2013

As I shared with you yesterday, I love the Thai people very much. It gives me great joy when I see one of them give their heart to Jesus. Today was one of those days when I had the opportunity to lead another Thai person into the arms of Jesus. YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

This afternoon I met with several new believers that would like to be baptized this Sunday. As is my habit, I always take the opportunity to personally talk to each person wanting to be baptized for a couple of reasons. One reason is to teach them what the Bible has to say about the importance of Baptism and why every follower of Jesus should be baptized. But another reason that I personally talk to each person is to assure my heart that everyone whom I baptize truly understands the message of Jesus and has truly given their hearts to Jesus.

Every once in a while, I come across someone who really feels ready to take the step of baptism but they still do not yet have a clear understanding of the gospel and have not personally given their heart to Jesus and accepted His payment for sin on their behalf. When that happens, I simply ask that person if they are ready to truly become a believer and then lead them into the arms of Jesus. That is what happened at about 5:30 this afternoon. And at about 5:31 the angels in heaven rejoiced over one more Thai person whose name is now written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Please remember to pray for Nong Fon and for the others who will be baptized this Sunday.

 

Prayer Example: “Lord, we have been reminded today of how you are at work drawing Thai people to yourself. We thank you for allowing us who have been praying to be a part of seeing Nong Fon give her heart to Jesus today. We have been seeking You on behalf of the Thai people every day for almost 3 weeks now and we have seen You drawing people to Yourself. We pray that You would bless Nong Fon and those other new believers who will be baptized this Sunday and we pray that You will draw many to you during this Christmas season. We pray that You would be pleased to continue to use NTIM and Baan Athitaan Church as part of Your plan to reach thousands of Thai people for You in the days ahead. We pray in Jesus name. Amen.”
