As I write this update, it is Monday evening in
Thailand and we are all very pleased with your partnership with us through your
prayers this past weekend.
As you know we put on our single largest
evangelistic event this past Saturday night at Baan Athitaan Church. We even
had some very good friends travel all the way from Chiang Mai (The Boston family)
to join us in serving in our Christmas celebration.
We
had skits and performances from our university students, from several of the
Children’s homes that are vital part of our church family, and from several others
who wanted to participate. I don’t know how many people were here but it was a
great time of celebrating the Birth of our Lord Jesus with our community. At
the end of the performances, I shared a very brief message on the Prince of
Peace and how Christmas is a time for peace. If you would like to see some of
our pictures and you have Facebook, you can click on the following link and see
lots of them. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.704443699596445.1073741881.141698185871002&type=1
Then what a great joy it was on Sunday morning to
celebrate the ordinance of Baptism with 6 new believers. Let me just say that
the water was the coldest I have ever felt in on this side of the pond. Even
though the water was cold, our hearts were all warm as we celebrated baptism
with Nong May, Nong Fon, Nong, Ohm, Nong Naam, Nong Joy, and Nong Mee as they
expressed their commitment to follow Jesus as
Lord
and Savior.
Thank you Jesus for allowing NTIM, Baan Athitaan
Church, and children’s homes like Happy Home to work together for the sake of
the gospel in making disciples for Jesus sake. If you would like to see some of
our pictures of the baptism and you have Facebook, you can click on the

Prayer
Example: “Lord, We thank You for all those who are in Northern
Thailand serving You and working together for the expansion of Your kingdom and
to make the name of Jesus famous in that part of Your world. We pray for all
those who heard the message of Jesus this past weekend for the first time that
they would consider the truth that You love them and have a wonderful plan for
their life if they will only embrace and receive Your gift of eternal life through
Jesus Christ. Help them to understand that Jesus is “The Prince of Peace.” We
also pray for those who followed you in believer’s baptism. May You bless these
young lives and help them to grow to be great lights for You in the days to
come. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen.”
